Reasons why I hate talking to you are that you get snippy anytime someone disagrees with you. This is a forum where we can discuss music and disagree but you just always have to be right and cannot hold a valid discussion without being rude or catching feelings over someone that will never acknowledge your existence..
Unless you are Naomi Sharon
The literal definition of the word discography covers more than just albums. Because YOU or anyone else who chooses to ignore that when discussing an artist's entire life's work doesn't make it right lmao.
I don't say "albums." That's why I specifically used the word "discography."
Nope. Your statement is as stupid as suggesting an actor's filmography only consists of their work on film. It doesn't. It connotes their work across film, TV AND theatre.
Take Nicki Minaj for instance. She has like 3 albums to her name. You can't speak of Nicki's impact on the game without speaking on her features. That's her bread and butter, not her albums.
It'll also be the same thing if you tried to speak on T-Pain's/Lil Wayne's impact /discography and ignored their features when that makes a clearly stronger case for their discographies.
Those are two completely different things and two completely different ideas
No one is excluding features and other s***, itâs just obvious that albums hold the most weight in discography conversations. Youâre the only person in here arguing otherwise

"It's just obvious..."
Yeah, I'm done lmao. Bye.
I cam confirm an album is coming

People use the word catalog. Wayneâs features barely ever come up if weâre talking discography itâs always album oriented. Thatâs why no one thinks Wayne or Nicki have a goat discography. Especially Nicki lol
Drake is way too great for the mental gymnastics yâall do sometimes I swear.
You making it too obvious that you donât believe he has a strong album discography

Exactly, she sounds dumb as f***

Nickiâs actually the perfect case in point because yeah she has great features, but I promise you her name will NEVER come up in a âbest rap discographyâ convo because she barely even has albums lol.
No one other than a pop stan barb would ever bring her discography up with the great ones. Really is ridiculous
Also no one ever uses the word âdiscographyâ when talking about T Pain, this thread is probably the first time those two words were used together outside of Wikipedia. He had some features and some joints no one is calling that a discography. He had a lil run.
Bringing up Pain and Nicki to defend drakes discog is actually such disrespect to the boy

The only time you look at an artists discography is when the whole thing is worth looking at
i think a big part of this is that unlike pretty much every mainstream rapper ever, he doesnât rep a city at all, which is a real part of being able to impact the culture, because of how the sound of an area can be influenced by an artistâs work long-term (like ny with pop smoke recently, chicago with sosa, atlanta with thug and future, etc)
Thatâs true too. I canât think of anyone that doesnât rep their hometown.
