JeffersonSteelflexBecause both of those albums are sonically great first and foremost. Drake used to be the master at creating a sonically great atmosphere and even did that on Honestly Nevermind imo. That’s an album I wouldn’t have minded more songs on. But yeah There’s a difference between a SZA/Ye long album than a Drake album.
It’s so weird tho cuz Drakes albums dead used to have a whole mood / aesthetic / world built around them. Now it’s like I go through the album and figure out which songs imma just keep in rotation

SlamGodDonda had a ton of hype behind it because of all the delays. But it doesn’t have a single song getting streamed at the level of the highs on drakes most hated albums so I don’t think it’s publicly loved all that much either
I mean that’s a whole other conversation but I see what you mean. The internet does a lot of gassing up but when it’s time to stream the music the numbers don’t always reflect the gassing for sure. I’d still say that the public loved donda or at least act like they did on social media lol
