Drake used to be the master at creating a sonically great atmosphere and even did that on Honestly Nevermind imo. That’s an album I wouldn’t have minded more songs on. But yeah There’s a difference between a SZA/Ye long album than a Drake album.

that was the biggest casualty of the kanye beef. you can tell from the leaks that scorpion was gonna have a lot of care put into the cohesiveness and sonic world of it, and then he scrapped half of it and basically turned it into a mixtape and that's how his albums have all come out since (with the exception of honestly nevermind).

Bag Talk AuditorDifference is that only one of these has any aspiration for something artistically accomplished (whether it succeeds or not is another conversation). And it isn't the one chasing TikTok trends and Instagram captions tier raps. This way it's easier to excuse any swing-and-miss and the highlights standout better. Hope this helps 👍

Like 2 songs from Scorpion were scrapped, if anything he added new songs to "bloat" it

The internet does a lot of gassing up but when it’s time to stream the music the numbers don’t always reflect the gassing for sure. I’d still say that the public loved donda or at least act like they did on social media lol
Well idk how you measure the public because I’d say the streams are the best measure of that. Twitter, KTT, Reddit, etc ain’t reliable as measures because end of the day this is a really small subset of the population that actually listens to rap
