Lil Yachty went from being basically forgotten to getting Drake to put Yachtys own style of music on his album, insane recovery
âyou either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself to become the villainâ
Thatâs exactly whatâs happening right now lol. I think this âgrowing upâ feedback is a âbe careful what you wish forâ situation. The last thing I want to hear is roc nation brunch raps from drake.
âyou either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself to become the villainâ
How people consume music is wild to me. Drake is merging 2 generations that dope to me. He still give yâall his old drake in the rnb songs vibe
Honestly wouldn't be surprised if that was his motive but he just failed to communicate it
I just miss when Drake features actually felt like additions to Drake songs rather than Drake just hopping on the featureâs sound.
IDGAF couldâve been on a Yeat album, Another Late Night couldâve been on a Yachty album, Gently couldâve been on a Bad Bunny album and it wouldnât have made a difference.
Whereas songs like Lord Knows, Pound Cake, or The Real Her only couldâve existed on a Drake album
Facts
The internet is not a real place. If you go by the internet, Drake is the most hated/least listened to artist in the world.
travis bodied fair trade
but yeah I agree
That's only because the beat swapped for him, idk why they always do that
Ak saying some real s*** about the album and just Drake as a person right now, canât believe he going off like this
What did he say?
That s*** is jaw dropping really shocking
B**** I'm not pretty flacko but this s*** get really rocky
After 1 day Im ready to say this might be top 3 of him. This is what mfer has been wanting to do since Views (making huge tracklists trying to please every kind of fan he has while mantaining his essence and doing different genres) but failed due to boring production, unnecesary feats, stale delivery. I feel like he solved this here and although he has some unnecesary songs, everything here fits perfectly and is polished greatly. Feels like WLR, when everybody gave s*** to Carti even his fans, two or three months later they realized the record was pretty good.
Ion know, maybe start writing some songs about something other than pretending to be a mob boss or getting his "heart broken" by women in their early-mid 20s after he was their pay pig?
Dude is in his mid 30s with a kid and it's like he been sticking to the same topics since Take Care. S*** was twelve years ago. Personally I feel like around Scorpion it was definitely time for him to start switching it up, but it feels like he's only gone deeper into that bag.
If someone were to put on tracks from Scorpion, CLB, Her Loss, and FATD I honestly wouldn't be able to tell the difference between what albums they came from. It's all the same to me
This is bs! Cause what is Wayne rapping about now? Future? etc
Yâall call yourself real fans but didnât even realize that they flipped âThe Motionâ on âDrew A Picassoâ
FAT D OUT NOWâŚ
How my OG's from KTT1 feel bout the album?
After spinning it about 20-25 times, I think I better understand why most people, myself included, are let down. The subject matter and lack of growth is a secondary point. All that s*** is forgiven when the product itself is flawless.
I Guess It's F*** Me is the same old simping s***, but its probably one of the fan favorites for modern drake songs. The product is top notch. Meltdown is all fictional mob boss s***, but it is delivered at such a high level that it cannot be denied.
Great production aside, the product itself this time wasn't S tier. And that's the only real criticism. Some songs are a mess, the sequencing is questionable, and that makes the lack of subject matter stick out even more.
Also, jut wanted to add: Another Late Night Drake only version is incredible.
Honestly wouldn't be surprised if that was his motive but he just failed to communicate it
I am fairly certain this was a 95% R&B album at some point, most of the rap songs especially the ones at the beginning feel like they were made 2 weeks ago
drakes seems over it tbh
Why would you perform soaked in Champagne lmao

Yeah I agree. Makes sense given that the 2 leaks were R&B too. The R&B songs on the album are the most thought out and well developed. No coincidence that they're also the only ones with the short lived BARK Radio skit that could've been taken further too. No mention of that on the rap songs.
Not to mention Drake admitted himself that FPS was recorded like 4 days ago along with a few other tracks in the past 2 weeks (probably mostly the rap tracks)
Why Drake vocals on the Yeat song sound low quality
Thatâs exactly whatâs happening right now lol. I think this âgrowing upâ feedback is a âbe careful what you wish forâ situation. The last thing I want to hear is roc nation brunch raps from drake.
Same! Dude a rockstar he talks about his life! Iâm good with the content. I respect his execution and risk taking. Takes ball! I like innovation flow wise and current strategy

Topically is this album not much different than take care?

Long as the music is good Iâm chilling. The content/subject matter arenât a big deal to me.
The ending of her loss was a signal of how this album was gonna be like
Funny enough the ending of HNVM was a signal of how HL would sound
