Ak saying some real s*** about the album and just Drake as a person right now, can’t believe he going off like this
Imo Akademik doesn’t have the music brain to comprehend drake’s decisions on this album. Funny enough Boom got it compare to Ak. I understand why some og fans might not like the project still.
Yeah I agree. Makes sense given that the 2 leaks were R&B too. The R&B songs on the album are the most thought out and well developed. No coincidence that they're also the only ones with the short lived BARK Radio skit that could've been taken further too. No mention of that on the rap songs.
Not to mention Drake admitted himself that FPS was recorded like 4 days ago along with a few other tracks in the past 2 weeks (probably mostly the rap tracks)
I made a comp on leaked with the following tracklist and it’s 1 hour - 16 songs and flows way better and feels more cohesive:
Virginia Beach
Tried Our Best
Slime You Out (feat. SZA)
I'm The Problem
Drew A Picasso
Members Only (feat. PARTYNEXTDOOR)
What Would Pluto Do
All The Parties (feat. Chief Keef)
Bahamas Promises
Rich Baby Daddy (feat. SZA)
Polar Opposites
7969 Santa
BBL Love
Another Late Night (feat. Lil Yachty)
Away From Home
8am in Charlotte
We’ll see what happens. He did say he’s taking a break for around a year after this album. I’m hoping he truly sticks to his word, recoups, and comes back with a new sound.
That break might be what he really needs at this point. Like two years off, maybe just do features with randos in the meantime like Cole and Kendrick did.
Maybe the thing that has been working against him lately (in terms of album quality because sales wise he's been good) was oversaturating himself.

🤝 good discussion homie.
That album after drake is free from his alcohol, gambling, s***and social media addictions is going to be so 🔥🔥🔥🔥 in 5 years
User name is clashing with the comment 😂
It'll be fun to see when people start doing the 180° turn on this album lmao. Glad it's getting so much hate now so no one can come out and say "well, I always kinda liked it."
If u wanna know how much I care about mainstream rap I’m still not halfway through this album yet RIP lol
after everyone hated HNVM for months, I’ve seen more love for it than ever before.
I will never trust their immediate perception. I trust the music

I don’t know, I feel like ever since the pandemic Drake has changed though
We all have

No features too seriously! Dude is not appreciated at all!
I feel like he set everybody up for high expectations by coming with that old drake s***. Trying to tackle old sounds/lyrics is counterproductive as an artist, Kanye will never make a MBDTF2, Travis will never make Rodeo2 and thats alright and the beauty of it
I think by old Drake he meant R&B, but then gave up and changed the album to be a bit less focused at the last minute anyway which ends up annoying everyone
Amen is the best song on the album my god it’s so good
Teezos vocals, the sample, the instrumental, Drake’s
verse
10/10 song
I love that song idk why so many people are hating on it. Really good

I saw a big drake fan s***ted on it and came around saying how dope it was.
This is obviously better than CLB btw
He didn’t give a f*** about CLB but you can tell he cared about this project
This is bs! Cause what is Wayne rapping about now? Future? etc
Wayne has had an incredible feature run to back him up, on top of that his rapping has probably been the best it's been in a long time. Also helps that he's been rapping on more "out there" production lately.
As for Future...ion know over the last few years I been seeing people say they're tired of him still crying over and dissing Ciara. People definitely do the age thing with him too. I've also seen people saying he hasn't had a truly great album since HNDRXX. I don't know what that nigga is on these days though cause I stopped caring about his music after FUTURE.
