i know i missed a whole bunch of s*** on the site this weekend but man i've just had melodies and bars from this album stuck in my head constantly. even when it's not playing. i still don't know how i feel about it as a whole but for me, he did what he always does - gave us another soundtrack. take that break it's well deserved.

Yeah it's interesting. I don't really rank them since they fill different niches for me, but if someone made me then tbh Kendricks always been at the bottom of the 3 for me simply because his musics not as listenable. But he doesn't set out to do that so I'm not really looking for what he puts out. It's nice for one listen for me but past that it doesn't really appeal to me. Kendrick is quite reserved with his music output though whereas Cole has been going on the crazy feature run for like the past 3 years. Kendrick should do more features imo but I think he values his creative process and therefore control a lot.

I also feel like its crazy to act like he's in the same territory as a new artist when he has had some of the biggest albums and singles in the last decade, and quite a few truly Great albums that I think will last a generation
