Most of the criticisms about the album aren't even about the actual music. They hate that he's still rapping/singing about the s*** he's always sang about. That's what they consider immature and they feel he needs to stop doing. That's also something they'd never ask of another artist. That's why their criticisms are so disingenuous.
Plus, social media Drake hate has never left since 2016 so most people never go into a Drake project with good faith or an open mind. They go in looking for something they'll hear and won't like and the moment they do, they run with the take that the whole project is trash.

It wasn't and I'm slightly disappointed with the FAT D but all I'm saying is drake has dropped so much music I've enjoyed a lot in the past 2 years alone I'm not even mad

for sure, and just like with all his albums, there's gonna be a handful of takeaways that you'll love and that will grow on you and there's others that are fillers...that's the biggest disappointment is his old albums didn't have filler tracks.
