But that's my point. He can still use the imagery and theme of CLB for the album era. No one is stopping him from doing that. He tried to get "Certified Lover Boy" trademarked and got his request denied because there's already a clothing brand that's taking off named Loverboy and there's a band with the same name as well. Naming your album "Lover Boy" anything as a 34 year old is corny to me. I've always thought that title was corny.

Certified works better. It's more marketable. It can be applied to anything and if that's indeed the new title, it'll catch on quick, just like Views did.

I get that people are attached to CLB already but Drake hasn't even started the era yet so a name change won't affect anything.

Imagine rolling out all that merch and the trailer to then change it to “Certified”. I don’t even think Views ever got that far to have the pop up merch be different to the album title.
