808s would demolish this in a verzuz. Let’s not get crazy.

It may not be ground-breaking but its still packed with excellent tunes that are highly listenable. He's not reinventing house and making a new genre but I love that he's flipping it by adding his own flair accessible for the mainstream.

A lot of those old house tunes couldn't be played outside of a grungy warehouse in the 90's if you get what I'm saying

hope this s*** influences rap moving forward, i need hip-house more than anything

    Good for her.

And one good song came out of it, everything else was so hard to listen to and the sounds and chord progressions were not fully developed. So nah not really

Nostalgia effect. Give this time for people to make memories with it and see if any hits spawn and then we’ll compare

808s would demolish today and it would demolish 10 years in the future. There’s just no way.

808s aint in my top 4 kanye albums either? not saying the album is a 10/10 by any means or even half as good as 808s but the impact this will have going forward is undeniable

only a few tracks in but it feels like drake finally addressed the biggest criticism: that he basically made the same album 3 times in a row. I always respect experimenting and it seems he's doing this so far

Dark Lane was great experimentally. His flows and pockets are so cold on there.

DLDT one his best projects in this era imo
