If you support someone with the intentions of getting support back then it’s not genuine support. Nothing wrong with showing support for something even if it’s not being shown back to you if it’s genuinely how you feel.
Abel did acknowledge Drake when he supported him with the Grammy snub
Only because Drake was supporting him on something he cared about and was pissed off about. Any other time, he acts like Drake doesn't exist.
Abel had his chance to make an inconic mark and fell flat. Great show but not legendary. Step aside for the real king of Canada please
quiet possibly the worst reply i've seen on this page

Can't wait for another "inconic" Drake One Dance Live (TRAGIC) performance to be completely erased from the internet
Drake was very clear in the rap radar interview. He has shown The Weeknd a lot of love but he hasn't been getting anything back from him. He's behaving like a little child. Respect to Drake for continuing to support someone like that though, it shows what a great human Drake is
And I just want a baby with the right one
(I just want a baby with the riiiight)
'Cause I could never be the one to hide one
(I could never be the one to hiiide)
This nigga spent millions out of his own pocket for an overproduced snl performance!

I think from Drake's perspective, people automatically assume they're beefing if they don't sense any support from either one of them and according to Drake in that interview, that's a bad look for the city and while I agree with him, you can only show love for someone for so long and have them never reciprocate that before you stop doing that.

Maybe I'm reaching, but to me, it's never felt like they had any real issues, especially on Drake's side. I just think Abel and his camp are competitive and have been competiting against Drake from day 1, which is understandable because it's really the little brother trying to one-up the big brother.
They've been very intent on positioning Abel as the #1 artist from the city but I doubt that has ever worked for them. Every huge year Abel has had, Drake has always come around right after and had an even bigger year.
Abel sweeping the Grammys, having the #1 song of the year, being the #1 artist of the year and then going on to headline the halftime show was probably meant to be a slam dunk to go "you see? The Weeknd is the #1 artist out of Canada" but the Grammys f***ed that up and now even with Abel headlining the halftime show, his performance wasn't as great as I and probably many other people thought it'd be.
i respect drake for showing love for his peers while they are here.
If only he got the same thing back.

its always been love especially within their camps, cash and sal are pretty good with Drake.
Weeknd and drake relationship was sour when he didnt sign to OVO,but they are on good terms now.
Plus Abel always said Drake is the king of toronto cmon no need for these fantasizes
It’s crazy what would’ve (or not) happened if Abel didn’t go his own way. Possibly would never have gotten the his big, or maybe he could’ve? But props to him, guy is a f***ing megastar.
