That's the problem with this new generation smh, they want everything to be posted on social media for them to see.
Exactly. That's a real delusional way of looking at life.
Yāall want every f***ing celebrity to change the world when no matter how famous they are, IT ISNT EASY
He did the best thing to do in his position
He posted about it before some other big rappers (NOT THAT ANYONE HAS AN OBLIGATION TO SAY ANYTHING) and itās much more heartfelt than a generic Nike message that others posted (Travis)
People will still not think itās enough tho
Iām happy heās at least a acknowledged it but he can do more tbh a picture of a peom with cliche sentiments isnāt gonna do anything imo
Lmao Drake literally spoke about this. Saying heād rather DO something than post about it.
And yāall complain that he doesnāt speak up like thatās gonna solve the issue.
Then when he does speak up itās, āhe can do moreā
Just admit you donāt like the nigga and move on.

Facts... And he also said in these situations people post about it but donāt be about the action by contributing money and solutions on the ground
I truly think thatās whatās happening right now... A lot of these celebs rush to say something for good points but donāt contribute anything
Man itās crazy that yāall want a canadian to post about American issues. He posted and is still getting criticized. What more can he do? Drop a freestyle about protesting or something? These artists donāt have the answers and the people coming at them donāt know what they want either.

Drake could be out there marching and it still wouldnāt be enough.
Like another poster said talking about these issues is difficult I deleted 2 tweets because honestly I donāt even know what to say.

There's other threads/rappers for you to patrol. Your job here is done. I hope you feel good.
Go get em.

Please let me know what was wrong with my statement. He posted about this current situation as he has in the past. In general, I donāt really know what I want from celebrities and it seems like the public doesnāt either. Kendrick is socially conscious in his music but was criticized for his Mike Brown comments. Jay Z nails out protesters but gets killed for working with the NFL. BeyoncĆ© is getting slandered for her video she just dropped. Cardiās problematic comments get brought up every time she speaks on social issues. Drake was criticized for not saying anything and now it wasnāt enough. All of these people have used their power and influence in different ways to create awareness and actual change on the ground. I legitimately donāt know what you or others want from celebrities like Drake right now.

This one feels different. I remember in 2014 with Mike Brown I thought s*** would change but it was nothing compared to this.
