Honestly, this seems like unnecessary aggression toward a celebrity. It’s a stressful time here in America and I get that tensions are high. I thought his posts were fine at the very least let people know he was aware. Does he need to drop a long caption about his feelings on the matter? To me, I care more about what he or The Weeknd, or anything other artist are doing once they put their phones down. Are they contributing money to protesters? Supporting food banks? Something tangible. He could drop a song right now about it but people will probably feel some type of way as well.

Drake is an incredible writer so I’m sure he can speak eloquently about his feelings on the matter as he has done before. Could he have done that last night? Yes. But then what? He’s a smart guy but is he well versed in American politics? Does he have concrete solutions for people? Or do we just want him to be mad about racial injustice?
