The Darkest AngelLast time tho is a great example. Humble was running the charts that summer at the same time Drake's Billboard run ended. He took 5 months off and came back with God's Plan and Look Alive at the beginning of the next year. I really think by the time October comes and Kendrick drops that we will see Drake comeback again. He's not finished yet
I think he’s arguably done. The “people” have a whole new generation of rappers with way more online followings and dont need drake or even listen to him. Rap and afrobeats etc are way more international than they were 5 years ago and drake is gonna struggle commercially. Plus, he doesn’t have the benefit of social or industry support.
P.S….yall dont see Gunna doing all these international collabs? And they’re working? Central Cee is out here… Guys, they’re basically removing Drake out of the industry. It’s slowly happening.
Its over. He just will have to double down on his core fan base and show growth.

If anything, going full rap might be his best move. The singing won’t cut it anymore. Plus, that was always a crutch and a feature, not the main deal. Drake has to get back to that.

Yeah he’s cool, I just saw many people hype up his words. Myself included at one point lol
yea. i give him the benefit of the doubt that he prob heard sumn and hopefully its cool but by applying common sense, it doesn't seem like drake's gonna get into his rapping bag till the album and that ain't dropping most likely till kendrick is dropping. so we in for a bit of a wait. i hope some of these alleged features at least get dropped so we got sumn to hold us down till then. Excited to hear the Drake feature on Gordo's album too. Patience is important, I really do think the wait will be worth it this time greatly.

definitely some truth to this and part of why id like to see more growth from drake and his music to keep his core fanbase
