The thing with Drake is he always been self aware. Just listen to his recent music and with most of his lyrics he knew something like this was coming. He always sorta knew fame was temporary and his time would eventually come. I don't think that's now just to clarify.

I feel like he sits on songs and releases them when he needs to. Him and 40 are extremely smart people and there's no way you have 15 years of dominance without some knowledge of what songs to hold onto and release them for later projects.
