They act very silly sometimes, like we all aren't Drake fans here. If a mix is off, it's off. We've all heard enough music in our lives to know the difference between a good and a bad mix. Anyone suggesting otherwise is being stupid.

I agree. I do think that people just have different mixing preferences. I think people complain about mixing on every song for that reason so it’s hard to gauge when that criticism is valid.

I do agree that OG version of S&R was not great mixing, to be clear.

Some people always b**** about mixing but when there are many people complaining about the mix of a song online, it's silly to assume they're all just making it up or complaining just to complain because most listeners go into listening to a song just to vibe out. A terrible mix will immediately stand out because no one expects the official version of a song to be badly mixed.

Exactly. I watched a buncha different YouTube reactions for this song and every single one said the mix was terrible. That rarely happens for a new song by a super mainstream artist, where general listeners are complaining about the mix across the board

Yes and the poor mix made a mediocre song damn near unlistenable. And just imagine, in a day, the mix got corrected so why couldn't it have been corrected before being uploaded initially? I really don't get how Drake's team does things sometimes. They handle things sometimes like he isn't one of the biggest artists in the world. There's zero excuse why any Drake song should have a poor mix. That's something even unsigned artists these days don't deal with, talk less of someone like Drake.

it's likely that drake personally likes the og mix better. His team probably just saw a lot of ppl online talking abt it and decided to change the mix to be more normal.

basically all of Honestly Nevermind has the same mixing, so I don't think it's a mistake/accident. I think it's just Drake trying to experiment (although I think it's a pretty dumb direction to go in)
