You didn’t know better at age 12? Cus I did lol
Blame the parents. Not streamers and celebs. Raise your kids to know better.
You can continue to be obtuse but that doesn’t take away from the fact that the average 12 year old (age that you stated) is still severely malleable to content like this
You do realize thats like business 101?
The argument of affiliate codes is useless, if you wanna say promoting gambling is bad, be my guest. That’s a fair point, I don’t necessarily agree, but
Promoting gambling to teens is incredibly irresponsible. Especially from someone like drake who is 100% in tune with his fan base

Like I said you gotta blame the parents at that point. Although I still think the 12 year old should get a lot of blame as well.
If you’re 12 and don’t respect your parents enough to not gamble their money then it says a lot about the entire family.
Celebrity and streamers job is to entertain. That’s what they’re doing. We cant be looking at them to be the moral police and to raise our kids.

That’s a fair point, I’m not gonna say you’re “obtuse” for thinking that.
Your point on their business model is literally a universal business model.
My “argument” to you is so how about the rappers that promote a whole bunch of bad s*** in their lyrics, promote alcohol, etc

The alcohol argument is totally fair but not in this context because there are rules and regulations that make it extremely difficult for underage peoples to use. In the context of Stake literally anyone can make an account on there, buy some crypto on a card and transfer it to the website. It’s just not the same

It is the same. Drake or Stake aren’t responsible for the action of kids
The parents are

Do you have the same energy for ESPN who run draftkings segments every 15 minutes?
Plus this Drake audience aint all 12 year olds like Adins kids.
Different ball game!

They are responsible for sure. Maybe not directly if you use the logic you’re using. But even using that logic the website that drake is promoting makes it so a person of any age with access to a credit card and transfer crypto and gamble. Do you expect parents to sit down with their kid and explain to them why gambling is bad? I don’t think you or the average kid ever got that talk. And now that talk “needs” to happen because of these sponsored promotions? That’s irresponsible

DraftKings has age and state wide restrictions, with loopholes for sure, but the restrictions are there.
But you do bring up a good point that the sports gambling leaking into mainstream is inherently bad
Drake’s first big misstep IMO, brandwise - gambling is not wholesome and will encourage people into a destructive habit.
But outside of that the business is no different to any influencer promoting any product. Some people will try services/products if their favorite personality endorses/uses it and brands need the views in order to sell stuff.

Can teens use Stake?
Can teens use Stake?
There’s videos showing how easy the sign up process is on youtube. You can enter in any information with literally zero identity verification. So yes
The only identity verifications comes when you try and withdraw funds. Not deposit.
And Hasan Piker is to intellect what dog s*** is to food.
100% agree with this he’s a regarded himbo most of the time but the content he covers is important

So there’s a lack of verification on the website, that definitely needs addressing. Not sure you can connect that to Drake though, I doubt he is trying to directly influence teens to sign up to Stake.

There’s (difficult) ways to get around Stake I bet, just like there is to underage drink.
Go try and make a Stake account let me know how it goes. You’ll need to provide proof of identity.

You need to verify your identity, I don’t know whats OPs talking about.

Only to withdraw lol. Anyone can make an account on there and deposit through crypto. There’s a reason these sites only deal in crypto

There’s something to be said here with how thorough drakes team has always been in his career. Either they are aware of this and don’t care cus the bag or they aren’t aware of this which is equally troubling
