Out streaming FATD btw 3rd day
FATD is widely regarded as the worst Drake album tho, out streaming it shouldn’t really be considered anything special
you dont think he's a billionaire by now? be honest
The guy has 20 Shell LLCs, he may have a "potential" billion dollars but I promise most of his money is in loans
FATD is widely regarded as the worst Drake album tho, out streaming it shouldn’t really be considered anything special
My number 1
I agree but my next question to Drake is WHY HE TREATED LUCIAN LIKE THEY BFFS
This is part of the wwe plan eventually setting Drake as against the industry ….
Assuming NLU was inflated, what would a rap song have to do to organically become as big as it is?
Yeah I know it's not a lawsuit at the moment but I don't get what's in it for him from an optic perspective
What does he get out of filing a pre action, embarrassing himself optically putting a scarlet letter on his career...for something he knows won't get to the point of being a lawsuit?
It's bizarre unless there's more to the drake / umg relationship
Same he gains nothing from this, I think he wants it to go to court even if he losses at least it’s all out there. He has to have something up his sleeve for a move this big
Drake had a career ending red button diss to Kendrick but is such a sweet caring Canadian he decided to humiliate himself and sue umg like a Karen in order to spare kendrick and his family
Shouldn’t have signed that deal
He on final album and now with stakes high this a Tyson Paul scam
Assuming NLU was inflated, what would a rap song have to do to organically become as big as it is?
Honestly, just have good vibes
Assuming NLU was inflated, what would a rap song have to do to organically become as big as it is?
Be a good song
Funny how "Drake just resigned for 500 million" and "he can do whatever he wants with this deal!" has become "he's suing to get out of the deal!!"
Did you read the petition?
This isn't really about Kendrick and pg lang buying bots. It's part of it, but drake is saying umg and Spotify are in cahoots to boost s*** like not like us, among other forms of payola.
That's obviously illegal and goes beyond just paying for YouTube views and tweets.
This isn't my stance on whether or not it's true, just what the petition for the lawsuit is about.
Does the FCC have jurisdiction over streaming platforms? If they don’t it’s not similar to the Payola scandal at all and is not illegal
FATD is widely regarded as the worst Drake album tho, out streaming it shouldn’t really be considered anything special
So what half his albums are bullshit we can’t use that as a defense
That’s when I knew these bird b****es and niggas were so far gone
Mos said that s*** and then we watched it play out
Damn, hope they both lose
Lucian making money off metro boomin , future, Kendrick and got removed from Diddy case
Same day like that verse dropped Diddy houses raided March 26th 2024

it is bizarre. but drake's a bizarre dude. and his ego is f***ed up. the label very much advised against this.
truly believe he thought the chance of kendrick having the reputation of stream-botter stuck to him outweighed any of what you said in his mind. he's just a sore ass loser.

Seems like a whole lot of reaching though.
One of their pieces of evidence of f***ery is that Not Like Us would come on after unrelated playlists ended. Seems a lot more likely to me that the song was being listened to by people that don’t normally listen to rap and the algorithm reflected that. The beef was a massive pop culture moment. The week they were dropping music, they overtook Trump and Biden on Google searches. People way outside the realm of regular rap fans were listening to it. So if you have a large number of people who listen exclusively to Taylor Swift check out the song, Spotify will think fans of Taylor Swift will like this song, so they recommend it after a Taylor Swift song.
Another piece of evidence they point to is that Siri would play Not Like Us if you asked it to play certified lover boy. That’s because the most popular song at that time that featured the lyric “certified lover boy” was Not Like Us. It’s not a conspiracy.
The suit seems to be a whole lot of circumstantial evidence and hunches - I don’t see it making it to court
