    GNX here to stay

Idk much about numbers but I do know Drake releases music and then releases more music so that behavior probably lost him staying power. Nokia would be that, like Luther, but his ass keep cussing

I 100% agree with this post.

Drakes fear of losing relevance in the short term have drove him to feed his fans consistently, which is great for them. But it does take some impact out of each release in recent times.

One thing about Kendrick that is admirable, is that he’s not afraid to sacrifice in the short term for the long term. The endgame does pay off for him.

As a huge Drake fan that’s honestly a good way to live your life as well

I actually admire Pglang not giving into instant gratification and bringing back anticipation

All s***posting aside, I’m curious about the longevity above all when it comes to songs from $$4U

GNX has held it down in a way I didn’t anticipate, even with the added stimulus.

One of the most forgettable supposedly blockbuster albums of the decade. It’s not even mid it’s just nothingness. The solo dolo album will make or break him.

The hood ain’t rockin with drake

    Here’s the truth

His core fanbase will always rock with him. They’re ride or die. And admittedly, he has a lot of hardcore fans. He’s solidified to the point where he always gonna do 200K+ and reach some degree of success. They didn’t finish him off and they never will.

Kendrick successfully did hurt his image to a strong degree with the beef though. At this point, it’s hard not to admit that Drake got dogwalked by Kendrick. Casuals look at his newer releases and either shrug and look at it awkwardly, with “A Minor” still ringing off close to a year later.

Drake himself hasn’t helped this because his ego is clearly bruised and the lawsuit has stayed in peoples minds.

Drake with his longtime fans is fine. Drake losing his grip with casuals though.

    Pazuzu Artist

Hell, even '00s -- early '00s much more so, but still.

70s-90s a little too smooth for me beside the odd psycho like George Clinton and Prince.

Frank brought it back to their level where every song has an incredibly unique and vibrant sometimes experimental arrangement. definitely some others like Vyes who I havent fully dove into but there was just more urgency to the music back in the day.

  • Still no top 10 for party

If the solo is mid he'll just shift the narrative again. "I dropped that one to get out of my deal. Next era otw 🔥🔥🔥"
