This interesting bc Kendrick don’t even care bout numbers like that. Meanwhile Drake used to brag abt them on every song

Crying in Chanel cross faded with the bass boosted is insane, sorry lmao

Ppl was saying that Kendrick only went #1 because of the drake stimulus. Why ain’t the stimulus been working for his own songs?

umg moved all the bots they were using for drake to kendrick
taking Carnival over Nokia lowkey but I see it
I don’t think this song makes it to the summer
Yeah they’re just both late career hits that rely on a gimmick. I prefer Carnival too

UMG is suppressing the Boy's numbers
Crying in Chanel is buns he caught a flow for like 5 seconds
Everything about that song down to the title is just the worst of the worst modern Drake cliches
The C***100?

house is a total blind spot for me tbh unless a band like New Order or Kanye/Beyonce etc form it into a more pop structure
I 100% agree with this post.
Drakes fear of losing relevance in the short term have drove him to feed his fans consistently, which is great for them. But it does take some impact out of each release in recent times.
One thing about Kendrick that is admirable, is that he’s not afraid to sacrifice in the short term for the long term. The endgame does pay off for him.

There's many ways to look at that. Personally, I value producing more music over not because navigating the misses and constantly recreating takes skill. Also, being a smorgasbord artist many people are wanting many different sounds that they've heard and the ones they want to hear. On top of his own personal motivations. I think people get confused with the soundscapes of each artist because California is a cheat code and what Kendrick has to pull from, whether be experiences or older musicians, is completely superior to the sounds of Canada
As a huge Drake fan I always appreciate threads like this
Keeps me humble
Congrats to Kendrick
Discord angels, we got work to do
the prophet has returned
lmao has my man @Elric never heard of house music?
