    tbh for me
CLB is way more consistent and has better sequencing than Donda
but Donda has higher highs for me
Come to life, Off the grid, Believe What I say, Jonah and Heaven and Hell

    Ye energy >>>Drake energy
    Drake bars >>> Ye bars

How do you not think DONDA is a day time album when

    Come to Life
    Lord I Need You
    Believe What I Say
    Jail
    New Again
    24
    Junya
    Hurricane
    Pure Souls
    Remote

    All exist

Even some of the moody-er joints, some of the riffs or repeating moments have a sort of silver lining sound to it. The repeating “Jesus... lord” on Jesus lord, and Kanye saying “call me if you know someone, that needs...” is a 2PM clear skies vibe for sure. You just said Off The Grid is a gym song forever and I’d say it’s a runners song too. I’ve listened to it while lifting weights and while running outside, both during the day and at night. I’m telling you it hits way better during the day

Ok Ok is one of the only songs that doesn’t have like any brightness to it at all.

    U bring up good points.

I feel like the overall album is dark though, kanye himself sounds very morose. and plus the way its sequenced. It gives off dark experimental vibes

TLOP and Yeezus aged badly imo. Yeezus was great when it dropped, had great shock value and drift from his usual work, but did not stand the test of time for me. TLOP roll-out was fun, but not really listening to it anymore besides a few songs.

TLOP is one of those albums where you don’t listen to any of the songs in your usual rotation right now but as soon as somehow someway if any song from the album plays, or you just have a random craving to a play a song from it

It makes you want to listen to every other song on there and you be like god damn I forgot how good this s*** is

for me this is hard, would say CLB rn but I know Im going to return to Donda way more but that's just my bias

I love it as Knicks fan. Start of a new rivalry. I hope they play each other in the playoffs next season

Knicks always entertaining in the playoffs, Heat-Knicks back in the day was peak playoff basketball

Yeezus still slaps hard, nah. Side note, it's the most streamed hip hop album on Spotify from that year in 2021 lmao

TLOP i don't revisit as much apart from couple songs but a lot of people love it too so idk
