Is there a Drake MBDTF?
Drake stans never seem to agree on a #1 album
It's NWTS but in a more literal sense IYRTITL is the best comparison because it served as a reinvention of sorts in response to public opinion
Either way I don't think Drake will ever make a MBDTF because he's too calculating to ever fall from grace the way Kanye did in 2009
He did?
Man was recording hours before the album and he never does that plus the album came out late

NWTS was great
i liked Take Care too.
but the rest are ass
drake can be excellent when it comes to singles- but his lack of variety in his music gets exposed when he does super long albums imo

Drake stans have a hatred towards IYRTITL for some reason
Great album just don’t find myself going back to it that often, same with more life.
Say what you will about quality but at least every Kanye album has a distinct identity, he's trying to push himself in different directions, Drake just isn't trying, he's given us this sound and these topics a million times before

24 too
Those Robotic type vocals he put over the choir
He did the same thing to Fred Hammond on Hands On
I think my favorite drake album is if your reading tbh but still take care is at least 2 then nwts
I don't want to sound like a hater, I really don't have a dog in this fight but this drake album sounds mundane asf.
Yup, which is why I'm not too bothered about the length.
Agreed, Kanye can pull off long albums with ease because he's an expert at making wildly varied albums that hold attention the whole way through

Yup, if there's one thing about each Ye album is that he tries to do something he hasn't done before. He's not afraid to take risks which is what I love about him as an artist.
Tde probably wanted Kendrick to release a double album to inflate sales but Kendrick wasn’t feeling that and wanted to bounce after this last one

But what about Donda is really new.
If anything Donda feels like he's trying to follow the new kids. Instead of leading the new kids like he's done his whole career.

How do you know lol

even if you don’t like a kanye album, you cant deny that it sounds unique or something he’s never done before
he’s always reinventing himself
clb just made me appreciate donda even more tbh
