really bro ?
He is. How many rappers have a CD, then an 808s, then a Yeezus? Kanyes range is crazy. Probably the most range of any rapper
I don't get people that say they'd shave 5-8 songs off of Donda, aside from TTV I can't think of any songs that'd be valid to remove, they all do their thing well
If we keep it a stack, both of these albums suffer from some of the same issues.
Already know what the track's going to sound like before I press play
I'm reminded now that drake fans go hard for the most mediocre music ever
But what about Donda is really new.
If anything Donda feels like he's trying to follow the new kids. Instead of leading the new kids like he's done his whole career.
Jonah , junya and remote only songs sound like the new kids so

Not really, don't hear many drill beats like Off The Grid and that's a first for him.
Come To Life too, Heaven and Hell all sound fairly refreshing and new from him imo.

which are?

He’s still doing that with the gospel s***. Not saying Ye invented gospel infused hip hop but it’s obvious he’s trying to put that onto a larger pedestal.

lmfao fr
pop smoke song the only song that could be cut
everything else is great

Jonah I would cut But ttv has grown on me that piano just is menacing

Or switch up their sound to go full on gospel and still do huge numbers
Kanye one of the few artists that can go full Christian and not be seen as corny by the masses
NWTS was great
i liked Take Care too.
but the rest are ass
drake can be excellent when it comes to singles- but his lack of variety in his music gets exposed when he does super long albums imo
Right?
Why the f*** does he do the same song 20 times?
10 album songs and he would have more classics

How does Jesus Lord, Believe What I Say, Come to Life, 24, etc sound like the new kids?
Y'all say anything

How tf are tracks like Hurricane, BWIS, Come To LIfe, Jesus Lord, 24, Jail, Heaven and Hell, Keep My Spirit Alive etc "trying to follow the new kids"
Junya and Praise God are the only really "generic" tracks on the album and they still bang
If we keep it a stack, both of these albums suffer from some of the same issues.
nah imo CLB is more refined but super dumbed down so there's really nothing that interesting to rave about
Donda is rough around the edges but the energy is very potent
Didnt catch any actual subs
I assume 7am an NFITI were directed at Ye, or his opps in general

Never heard anything like DONDA in my life
Jonah , junya and remote only songs sound like the new kids so
That's crazy cause I actually thought Remote was one of the ones that had some pretty good production. I like Jonah and Junya is just whatever.
But hell, I can't even fully appreciate Jesus Lord for what it is cause the production is so bare to me with the "Fart 808s."
