I prefer Drake’s. He is just an objectively better rapper in 2021.

Kanye got outdid by many of his features in terms of verses and he fell flat when it came to rapping too many times.

Donda had nice production moments but that isn’t necessarily the top thing ima look for.

i respect ur opinion but IMO its about what the better album is overall not which artist individually performed the best

CLB really isn’t that bad, I’m just not a fan of Champagne Poetry, Papi’s Home, Girls Want Girls, In The Bible, Love All, Fair Trade, Way 2 Sexy, TSU, N 2 Deep, Pipe Down, Yebba’s Heartbreak, No Friends in the Industry, Knife Talk, 7am on Bridle Path, Race My Mind, Fountains, Get Along Better, You Only Live Twice, IMY2, F***ing Fans, The Remorse, the album title, and the album cover.

Other than that, really rocking with this album!

Donda has way higher highs, even though the tracklist is a mess almost all the tracks besides the bonus are good to amazing, and it has the best Kanye West tracks since 2016

I just listened to CLB once and its a solid project, more cohesive than Donda but... it sounds just like a regular Drake album

Donda is an 8.5/10 for me and for first listen CLB is an 7/10

Come to Life, Lord I Need You, Hurricane, Donda, Keep My Spirit Alive, Off The Grid>>>>>>>>>

Drake can’t come close to any of those songs

I like both. But they're very different albums.

Donda is more energetic and has very diverse production. As an album, could be said that it works less good. It's more like a playlist. At the same time it never bores or drags and has crazy replay value cause of that. It has so much different styles to offer. Production is great, feats do amazing and Kanye is good (and amazing on some tracks like Come To Life, Jesus Lord and Believe What I Say). Also the subject matter is very diverse. And the common message seems to be overcoming trauma.

CLB is a way slower burn, but seems to be a bit more polished. There is more R&B infused in it than i expected, but i like it a lot. It's like a more mellow version of NWTS. Album fluently flows cause of the great production and good sequencing. Drake is pure lyrically better than Kanye atm, but at the same time his subject matter lacks a lot more. He has less to talk bout, which makes some tracks drag. The feats are good, but not as great as on Donda.

I think they both dropped their best albums in a long time. At the same time both albums are too long. I think Kendrick will top them both

Can’t believe drake stans thought Drake was gonna do something left field.

Drake only knows how to play it safe.

Drake hadn’t been in his bag since 2015

  • Sep 3, 2021

Drake stans unable to wrap their heads around the idea of a mainstream surface-level concept album using a intro.
