DJ7A7Ajcole, ye and now drake have dropped MID albums, not the worst but not the best given their goat status in hip hop. If they keep this up hip hop will be in a very bad state, theres starting to look like a vacuum in terms of mainstream quality and i hope someone can fill it in soon

They’re old and really I’d rather baby and polo the new gen just lead the way and they sort of step back on releases

Sep 3, 20212 full listens into CLB, felt wayy better and more excited to listen to Donda after 2 listens. Too many of the CLB tracks are too dry or boring for me, hopefully it grows on me. Rapping is great on it tho

I feel like he just has absolutely no incentive to step outside of his comfort zone. He outsells everyone every time, he gets love from the celebs and athletes, he sleeps with beautiful women, he lives the stereotypical lavish superstar life… I think Drake is more concerned with being an icon in pop culture and leading the famous lifestyle rather than being an artist that challenges himself. There’s nothing inherently wrong with that, but I think it’s time we as fans come to terms with that and accept it rather than hope for him to try something different with each new album he releases. This is just who Drake is at this point.
