Honestly what verse on CLB memorable like Kanye on off the grid
The album literally OPENED with this
The city's on fire and people are in denial
Charges being laid, but we'll see what they do with trial
I'm calling this s*** from now
Sweetheart deals that the judges been handing down
I haven't been able to see family for a while
That s*** is wearin' me out
I used to hide my pain in Delilah behind the bar 'tll my niggas carried me out
And if money's all I need in my grave, then bury me now
I know I tend to talk about how I got a fortune on me
But with that comes the politics the city been forcing on me
Man, I can't even RIP and show my remorse to the homie
Know I carry the guilt of the city's misfortune on me
I even got the cleanin' staff plotting extortion on me
My parents divorce is on me
My therapist's voice is making the choices for me
And I always censor myself 'cause no matter what, they reporting on me
The pressure is weighin' on me
Career is going great, but now the rest of me is fading slowly

drake is the same age and dropped clb
let that sink in
Also stop saying donda is a 27 track album , theres 4 alternate versions and 3 interludes .
Its a 20 track album just like CLB .
The difference is donda has at least 10 great tracks , clb has barely 3
Literally, his verses actually stuck, can't pick out a single verse from CLB that made me want to go back and listen to it.
Exactly. Theres not many “moments” on clb atleast on my first listen. Its just drake doing what drake does at a high level. Which is fine. Imma still bump it on shuffle.
No crazy and beautiful moments like moon, come to life, no energy like off the grid. Nothing really that different on clb besides a few tracks.

Yeah that's one of my favorites on clb so far
Great verse fornsure, but doesn't stick like off the grid
This
Vs
This
Those gifs actually kinda show the soundscape of the albums. Donda is diverse, energetic and can be hype
CLB is more mellow, calm, laidback, more R&B etc.
2 different albums
Both are great projects.
At the moment I don’t think one is better than the other.
They both serve different sounds
Exactly. CLB undoubtedly has more songs I'll visit regularly but that's because that's the sound it goes for it something accessible not too Grandiose like a lot of Donda.

On track 5 of clb and this s*** mid as f***
Dawg that's the same point where I was just sitting...
I don't listen to Drake much but he's made songs I enjoy and is obviously talented...I try to give everything a chance and I'll give it a few return listens in a week or two to see if anything's changed but this hasn't been good at all to me.

Damn
Honestly disagree tbh, Ye had much more energy and lyrics like on Jesus Lord are far more meaningful. Sounded like Drake couldn't be bothered on half the tracks.
Yup 🎯🎯🎯 as always

That's the issue, no highlights at all and even his prior albums which I didn't like much admittedly had a few standouts.

I’m on way 2 sexy, it’s hard but it’s just a future song
