You're free to think whatever you want and have whatever opinions you want to have. I'm just providing context. You can't want whatever from other people, it doesn't mean you'll get it. That's my point.

I'd love to see Drake find someone to settle and build a life with, if only because that's something he's always spoken about really wanting, but the life of rich and famous rapper doesn't lend itself to that. How many times has J. Cole and Kendrick made songs about f***ing on their partners? Hell, Kendrick's baby mama left him because he was basically a degenerate s***addict and wouldn't stop f***ing other women lmao. And Kendrick isn't outside half as much as Drake is.

That's my point. And as long as this is Drake's lifestyle, any committed relationship he tries to get into will probably end up failing, which is why he's said that he doesn't bother anymore.

But the songs themselves aren't BAD. Y'all just don't like what they're about. Slime You Out, Bahamas Promises, Tried Out Best, Drew a Picasso, Polar Opposites aren't bad songs. They're all great songs. Y'all just don't like that he isn't singing about being in a committed relationship.

Dude isn't settled down or in a committed relationship and has told y'all from jump that his music is a direct reflection of his life but yet y'all want him to sing about the type of romantic relationships he simply isn't in lol. Make it make sense.

This is very fair but again, his life is completely different from yours. I don't know what you do for a living but you likely aren't worth a billion dollars and you likely don't have a career that takes you around the world and keeps you busy most of the year to the point where trying to build a committed relationship with someone becomes very difficult, so you can't project the same expectations you have of yourself to someone else. That's all I'm saying.

I can see a future where he gets to the point of building a long-lasting relationship with someone but it'll likely have to be when he's retired from music and is living a life where things move a little slower.

He's told you every part of his life he's willing to share with you. What more do you want? Since 2006, Drake has released 17 full-length projects filled with songs that are all about his life. You know most of his friends and family members because he's made songs about most of them.

He isn't rapping about deep romantic relationships because those aren't the connections he has with the women he's dealing with at this point in his life. It's like y'all want him to be dishonest and lie about his life to appease y'all and I don't get that because the one thing that makes Drake who he is as a musician is his honesty.

For me, nice beats but in the context of the album and what else he’s put out over the years it’s kinda boring with nothing being said that he hasn’t already said better in older songs. It’s getting old now and so is he. Time to do something different imo.

Ofc he can make whatever he wants but you put it out to the world your opening it to be criticised and open for interpretation

I’m not saying Drake needs to enter a committed relationship. At no point have I said that or implied that.

I’m just tired of that part of drakes music. All the songs off of FATD are fun songs to listen to, that doesn’t mean they’re not repetitive themes for Drake and that exploring some new areas wouldn’t potentially increase the quality of Drakes next project.

I know on 100gigs we got that clip of him saying he has so many avenues he can do that he feels he needs to put a bit of everything on each album.

I bet that’s a large part of the unfocused feel of some of his projects.

I think I listened to Polar Opposites twice today lol. Still good songs, good melodies, catchy hooks, etc. just lyrically I wish we got a bit more depth (in terms of the content, drake has nice bars) in the future.

I honestly wonder if doing an RnB only album is part of the transition to a more focused Drake. He did his first ever rnb only performance to announce it. I hope even if we do get a rap track on this it’s not as blunt as Jimmy Cooks was within the HNVM track list.

I wish that too but I can't fault him if he simply isn't in a place in his life currently where he can access those things. He's said it himself that he can't make the songs people want him to make or the songs he made back then because he's simply a different person now who has experienced things that have changed him. I can't fault him if that's what it really is. All I can ask is that he continues to be honest and he makes great songs around that.

For All the Dogs has grown on me more than any other Drake project has. It's crazy. And it's so wild that more than 50% of that album came together while he was on tour 🤯
