Nah fam, my main gripe is that besides a few tracks, it’s the same s*** I’ve heard the past ten years. melodically ambiguous music washed out in reverb.

Then u combine that with the fact that dude literally been talking about the same s*** for damn near 15 years.

And there’s songs where he finds these incredibly infectious pockets and it’s like dam but idk kind of sick of an almost 40 year old version of Drake still singing not so well and occasionally rapping over trap influenced melodic songs about girls and the club lol

    Die Trying on repeat tho

Imagine interacting with music like this

I think that "I just hope someday that someone would love me" is a splice sample

How old was The Weeknd when he dropped After Hours

I am bringing it up because they only use it against Drake when they can do it with pretty much anyone.

And I completely disagree with it. I love what Drake is rapping about and I love what Weeknd is singing about, idc how old they are

    I certainly agree with that

Drake and Abel have completely different lifestyles it seems, so their content will be different, Drake makes music about his lifestyle which even if to some may be "juvenile" its hard to equate that to normal people. Idk what people expect him to make music about if that is still how he is living (for the good or bad).

Yeah, I never got the age thing. These guys’ 35-40 is much different to a regular folks, let them sing about their lifestyle regardless of the artist.

Abel just dropped an album that almost had essentially no s***or woman issues mentioned in it lol

I'm not sure why you are bringing that up in relation to that comment

What kind of lie is this

Weeknd is literally singing about love and women

drake can and has make amazing songs about 'immature' and petty topics. the issue isn't that, its the fact he gets one drawn out anti-catchy run on sentence flow and runs into the ground on a cool beat that doesn't progress at all for 1-2 minutes and then either tosses it to PND or puts in a beat switch and does the same thing again until the song just runs out of steam.

a few solid songs on here though that break from that mould

What is "immature" about making songs that people want to listen at any type of mood

    Slow songs
    Hard hitting bars
    Party songs
    Dance songs
    Introspective ones
    Deep album cuts

Saying "immature" just means that the person is no fun and has such low IQ. Nerds and dorks has always been the ones that dont like Drake.

I like this take better because you actually spoke about music and didn't just say how he lives his life is the disconnect

    Respect 🫡
Honestly, I don’t know what it is—maybe it’s just the sheer amount of music he’s dropped, especially with how music is consumed nowadays. Since More Life, it feels like a flood of tracks that mostly blend together, with only a few standouts per project.

I actually don’t dislike Drake. Could be fatigue idk lol

im literally saying the immature critique is pointless and empty. you're the nerd and dork for having your back up and jumping to be defensive about something i'm not even saying

Yeah he really needs to drop the runoff sentence flow. Adding on he also needs to go back into vocal training. His singing has deteriorated since Take Care days, age aside. His range is very limited and sticks to pretty much the same notes when he sings
