It's the same way I wish OVO would make more clothing tailored specifically to women. A huge portion of Drake's fanbase is female and I often feel like he isn't leveraging that enough. They'll buy whatever he sells them, especially if it's good quality but I understand his hesitance with some of these things. It would be unwise for him to just jump into certain industries simply to make money without him already having a genuine interest in that industry and for the product he tries to sell people making sense for his own brand.

You gotta understand a large portion of his fanbase is female, this a great industry to leverage that portion of his fanbase.

Beyond that it’s an emerging market so it’s not a bad idea to get some exposure in it:

Ya I’ve noticed that with whatever business he’s started, he genuinely f***s with it in the first place which I respect since it shows he’s not here for a quick cash grab.

The candles went live on this site on a random morning.

No official announcement from the site's Twitter handle about it being available, no announcement from Drake or his team about it - nothing.

It sold out in minutes. The site had a pre-order option available and even those were finished in a matter of minutes, so much so that they had to tell people they were sorry for leaving the option to pre-order open because they simply didn't have enough supply to meet up with the demand.

All of that was without an official rollout. I imagine these candles will sell out very quickly.
