This is a common thought when Drake gets as quiet as he is now. He always manages to come back bigger, though. I’m sure he’s going to go off 2020.

Disclaimer: Long time lurker of Drake KTT1, and despite some quick phases, Drake has always been my favorite artist and rock I OVO. I’m not trying to just hate haha

I don’t know. Possibly like yourself, I’m a huge Drizzy fan, and I have been since take care dropped. With all the headlines including the ones that are being concocted and perpetuated, I feel like the culture, at least the toxic culture on social media, is growing tired of him and has low key seen enough. Not that people hating on and doubting drake is new, the man has been breaking records and ignoring critics his entire career, but right now I feel like he needs to make a move not to necessarily switch up the narrative surrounding him, but to more importantly re-gain some of the excitement and buzz that has always accompanied his releases and album drops. Drake has always had haters, some who’ve been justified and some that are just salt, but I recently really have felt like his buzz has been waning. His dedicated fan base is there(look at this forum), and he will always get streams with his mainstream hits. But the energy and hype that Drizzy cultivated with the buildup for views feels like a completely different era. He has obviously been in the news since well before scorpion dropped, but since the album, he has not garnered even close to the same kind of hype musically; regardless of his impressive streaming numbers. Despite the lack of a truly in-depth response to the events that were surrounding him, I really liked what Drake was trying to do with Scorpion. However, despite the fact that I enjoy Mob Ties & Jaded as much as the next guy, it is kinnnddda hard to dissociative the album as a whole with the Pusha beef, Sophie B’s less than artisan history, and the overall negative narratives surrounding him at the time. He just didn’t respond to any of it concretely. You add to that to that: unsubstantiated but perpetuated pedo allegations, limited IG comments, and the wack LeBron barber shop interview... He should be feeling like he needs to come out and prove something imo. Despite having every excuse in the world being given to him about the booing incident, that was kind of startling to see and I’m not sure that would have happened a few years ago regardless of the crowd... I know drake is smart and has a smart team around him, and I realize that he’s trying to create anticipation for the next release, but given the replay value/relative quality and originality of some his more recent releases, I hope for my selfish musical enjoyment and for the sake of drakes own career that he can genuinely connect to his fans and bring some inspiration and new energy to his next release, whenever that may be.

It’s not just Drake haters, you got fans questioning it as well. Calling out sus things don’t make you a hater. It’s not irrelevant if it keep coming up. No matter how hard y’all try to downplay it in this section, people are taking note of how Drake move with minors now. That’s why the video of the 17 year old keep making waves every time he get caught up.

I mean two college students messing around is completely legal cause typically your college freshman is 18/19. Drake was 22/23 at the time and asked shorty her age and when she told him she was 17, he still made advances. What Drake did was worse, tho I’ve seen that argument used a couple times on here. That video should’ve made waves years ago but I think people just let it slide cause Drake was still seen as innocent back then. But with more and more stuff coming out, people are treating it as a”how didn’t we see this” type thing. Could also be due to how the climate has changed since then, people aren’t as forgiving.

Nah trust me, there’s a lot that are 17 at least where I go. I have seen alumni who are like 24 or 25 try to get with b****es who are 18
It shouldn’t have made anything because it’s really nothing imo especially since it was with her consent. Now if he did it without her consent or if it came out that he f***ed her than that’s a completely different story.
He shouldn’t have done it but he did and he stopped doing that at his shows after this

17 year old freshman are rare as hell brah. It’s not a common thing, like at all. 18 is legal so

So a grown man kissing and touching a minor is ok just cause he got consent

He stopped doing it at his shows, that’s good but this only get bought up cause he keeps getting caught in sus situations with minors. Once people noticed a pattern this video was used as a “he’s been this way and we didn’t see it” thing.

I don’t really like using the age of constant and legal s*** cause it’s just sounds wrong
18 is legal but a 17 year old is allowed to give consent in Colorado. The lines start to get blurred
If Drake was up there grouping her and being all over her, there would have been a big difference. And no I don’t think it’s okay for an adult to be doing that to a minor, I’m just saying 17 is barely a minor if your going to say 18 is legal. To me it’s not a big deal because this was at a show and it was entertainment(unless proved otherwise). If he did this in private, then that’s a different story

But yes I understand why this is being talked about know, because niggas are trying see if there’s a pattern.
Until there’s actual proof of him being a groomer or being a pedo, or actually doing some R.Kelly s*** I’m not going to think he’s guilty of anything
