Legitimately the one criticism I think is valid is his vocal mixing choice. The autotune is just so much on some of his songs. But it isn't as evident on Iceman at least as his other post-DLDT work.

And he clearly still has the voice because Tried Our Best is one of his best R&B songs ever. I don't know why he chooses to use such a strong autotune on some tracks.

My oldhead take of the day.

I've been noticing this since at least Search & Rescue, but it's really not just Drake. Overproducing tf out of vocals is an industry-wide problem.

I love the new Kacey Musgraves record but her vocals have had the life scrubbed out of them. Really frustrating because the writing is great.

It’s ridiculous on Make Them Pay literally 10 lines in a row of it

I hate when yall do this too. When he does this, the literal point is how the lines stack up on top of each other. There’s a momentum that develops line to line. I don’t get why yall don’t like it

    i think its fun

  • Has some corny ones but he’s Wayne protege lol. Even the corny ones still funny to think about and roll your eyes at to. And any one line could never ruin an entire song

Every single rapper got corny one liners all over any album the drop. Idk why Drake always gets the most s*** for his

  • I feel like BTS cus it took the whole career (Korea) to be so (Seoul) discovered

Oh that’s tuff! Talk to em drizzy!!!!

  • Using the Wayne example to defend is funny when his wordplay been clowned for a long time, right or wrong

I get the criticism like when I'm enjoying a nice J cole song and he starts 'spitting' and it's him saying some s*** like "I'm hot dog ketchup to me' :

If you like it it's cool but sometimes it can take you out of songs when it's not hitting you don't need to be on every page defending it @2words just other people opinion

    Yall will always find something

Drake gives a focused full rap album with age appropriate content like yall supposedly wanted but now it’s the similes and the beat switches that’s the problem. Riiiiight

You act like he’s done something different here from the other 5-6 albums he’s dropped this decade

  • Kendrick:
    beep bop boom bop damn

    J Cole:
will we survive the let out will we survive the let out will we survive the let out will we survive the let out

    Drake:
Have I always had this god complex? Holy moly
Why do you save all these shots of your screen? Are you a goalie?

Tell those others guys to catch up ✌️ 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I see the Kbots are at it again... I can tell you had to google what a simile is lmao bros trying to sound smart by using fancy terms but no ones falling for it again.

They taught us similes in 4th grade. It’s not a fancy term at all.

Ngl though I'm starting not to listen to Drake for bars anymore. Not saying he never has them but I kind of listen to him the same way I listen to Future or 21 or someone like that if that makes sense. He's obviously better than them two but yeah.

  • vingu

nothing post 2016 touches TC or NWTS in terms of artistic direction or album curation.

Yall don’t listen to music yall just hype up the albums that yall think will make you look smart

In 2026 FATD is an infinitely better listen than Take Care. It’s basically an improved version

  • I feel like he really started to do it on Views, and now he does it wayy too often

“You toying with it like Happy Meal”

And like dipset they really mean it

I face the way they paint me but hurts just like the Philly eagles

Don’t be surprised you see the whole YM in CA just like the village people

I rack up a tab in Chanel cause I do buy everything like I’m middle eastern

This s*** like the bag you bring on the plane, it’s gon carry on

this is the most elementary he’s ever sounded

Valid criticism, a lot of them come off but once you notice it, you can’t escape how much he uses it.

    So you say.

I forgot this sounds exactly the same as Scorpion or CLB

That’s the beauty of Drake. He literally does everything in terms of rap. There’s something for everyone. You don’t need to listen to other rappers. Enjoy.

First time I think I noticed it was CLB. DLDT I believe was his last project with barely noticeable autotune
