(1/2) So I have to say the biggest thing I've learned is that the promotion side of making music is just as if not more important than working on making good music itself. At times throughout the summer, I would find myself bogged down by the responsibility of not only making the music and purchasing the cover art, but having to upload on DistroKid, SoundCloud, create clips to tease the song, making sure I update links every Friday, etc. . I definitely will say this process has helped me work on a 'formula' i.e. the beats I work best with, cementing how to approach a verse, when to put harmonies and all the rest.
