Life isn’t even real, just do what you want

@OP just honestly ask yourself:
What are the actually realities of you dropping out
Do you have certain comforts provided to you by college that you would give up by dropping out? and if so, are you willing to sacrifice those to learn a trade and try to make a living that way?
Literally just -
1. Will I still have food, shelter, water, transportation
Idk, just make sure you know at least somewhat what you're doing and that you can adapt to the new situation

I'm lucky enough that my parents are supportive, I think they see how stressed and pissed off I am all the time, they'd be fine with me living at home if I was to start into an apprenticeship.
I mean it's not idea at 23 but it has to be done.
I missed the college life when I originally started as an apprentice, my mates were out partying during the week and working weekends.
I missed going to house parties and clubs.
I missed chatting to girls - easier while in college compared to on site with 60+ men.
Starting over as an apprentice means hard physical work, s***ty wages (starting out).. but I'm good with that.

That's great because I haven't a clue what I want!
i had a coworker that worked in the plumbing trade for a good amount of his career and then got laid off due to covid
i met him during the summer when he got hired at the Home Depot and now he works there full time
but he would complain abt how plumbing f*cked up his back and knees
All the trades do. I work in trade too. I try my best not to be on my knees for long. And wear knee pads or take breaks when necessary because your life always comes before the job.

Steve Jobs was super spiritual, and so am I. So that quote resonates a lot with me. But I don't know if it does with you. Here's how I see it. We all have a specific purpose in this life. We all do. Everyone does. And deep down, we kind of have an idea of what it is. We all have an inner voice that knows what it wants. You just need to honor it, even if it may be easier said than done.
It’s a great decision for someone in your position. And you’ll be making great money within 4 years after you learn the trade. Really you’ll be making decent money after a few months in. Trade school should be pushed more to people in HS because it’s really a excellent option for people who don’t want the college route but are willing to still learn a skill that pays well
try learning gem setting or jewelry manufacturing maybe, if you’re skilled you can do pretty well. maybe carpentry make bespoke wood stuff or fancy tables

this. that college or bust mindset high schools be giving out set a lot of people up for failure
Honestly bro just do what makes you a happier person. No one is gonna know the right answer for you. Some people love college, some people hate it. I hate it and I do okay with my gig work, so it’s just your personal prerogative. Be happy!
