I don’t wanna discourage bruh but ain’t a producer that lasted long by just “clicking in notes”.....you gotta elevate and grow. And not being able to play at least a midi controller or go off drums first is very limiting to ya craft

I’m confused on how people can see some of the greatest hip hop producers method and think “that’s wack” “that makes no sense”

You kinda start to think maybe that’s why their successful and the guys hating isn’t?

And not the mere fact that they do drums first cus 40 does melodies first but I’m pretty damn sure he understands and also knows how to make beats with drums first.

If someone is a producer and can’t understand why using drums first is equally as good of a method as melody first then maybe they shouldn’t be producing? And I’m talking those that think it’s wack or don’t understand it. Not those that understand but don’t prefer doing it that way.
