timothee wasn’t into her
you could tell he was f***ing with florence, sasoire, lilly, arnie and taylor on his other movies
So I’m guessing I’m one of the few who liked Timothee and Zendaya chemistry
because it was
I'd need to rewatch it tbh
I don't think I had any expectations for a certain style of plot or anything, but I think I expected it to wow me, and I don't think it ever did that. But I enjoyed it, no doubt. The meta conversation towards the end may have been lost on me, I won't lie
wish they built up feyd better. butler was great but by the time the two were fighting it just felt like i didn't care about it.
Same here, i felt like it was always going to be this way since there's so many characters and stories going on in such a short run time.
Imma need that Feyd prequel movie tho if they ever go the star wars route and sell out ðŸ˜

After they have the whole Colosseum scene, him giving seed to the Bene, the whole Nazi-esque coronation, I would've bet my bank account that bro would've lasted till the next movie lmao
once they decided to pull up on Arrakis, I figured it was a small chance he left w/o getting necked. From what I can gather, the other Houses, Alia, Jessica and Chani are gonna all potentially be opps for Paul though, so it prob wasn't gonna be much airtime for that House

it's actually insane how much s*** could potentially occur in this last movie. I feel like it's gotta be over 3 hours at least right?
I don’t think Zendaya is the woman for the job but I don’t think she detracts at all

dude everything on planet harkonnen was unreal.

the three big dogs from that family are so good man. Even down to the foot kissing scene. Like 15 mins earlier, you get the mini run down on Feyd's demeanor and his history, and then you get to really feel that fear that Glossu has for his brother (probably stems more from his uncle, but it feels a little different this time around).
What just makes it so much more special is that it's f***ing Dave Bautista, this human giant, and a guy who bashed one of their minions head in like it was nothing. And he got relegated to a boot heel by Feyd
That family definitely deserves a side project of some sort
javier bardem and rebecca ferguson were sort of running laps around the rest of the cast
It was a lot to process but they mostly nailed it
the biggest takeaway I left the screening with was the unreal way they managed to make each alien planet feel distinct from each other. the first movie did it well but it was beautifully captured here, they really levelled up with the whole sequence on Geidi Prime with the black sun & fireworks
I was also surprised at how much was rearranged & left out from the book but that’s to be expected with a limited runtime ig
completely understand removing baby Alia but I sorta missed having Thufir Hawat in there, that actor was perfect & would’ve contrasted well against the Harkkonen characters here. some of the missing intrigue between Jessica & Stilgar would’ve benefitted both of their characters too, they play off each other really well in the book & it would’ve given their actors another layer to coat onto their characters

first watch last night i was kinda like eh that’s sweet, but my rewatch today I kinda got a bit emotional at them falling in love. maybe it’s cause of where the story ends in this movie

they’re too close of friends irl

Imma need a part 1 and 2 for episode 3 of dune 😫

the original dune book is around 900 pages and the second dune book (Messiah) is 250ish. i’d say he’d be able to make it in similar length as the first two movies.
some people have even mentioned that he could possibly combine messiah and the third book (children of dune) into the next movie but who knows
Really hope they don't go ham on spinoffs even though the universe intrigues me a lot.
Don't need an HBO show for everything.

That’s what the miniseries did, but I don’t think it’d work for the movie

yeah I agree. just doing messiah would be for the best

Very true, but I am very interested in Bene Gesserit show coming this year
