the changes from the book were 100% necessary to keep the story streamlined…thankfully it all worked
did feyd rautha get count fenring’s wife knocked up in the book? ik that she and her husband were talking about seducing him near one of the end of the chapters
also wtf happened to hawat in this movie? am i just supposed to assume he is dead?
I read that his scenes were cut. Tim Blake Nelson also had a role that didn’t make the final cut.

damn
First off, them tweaking the ending of the book to A. Not have Chani be pregnant and B. Not have her stay by Paul's side was a surprisingly good choice and has me really curious as to how Messiah is going to play out
How do you know any of this is the case she could be pregnant and they could continue working together

without spoiling anything she's not just pregnant but has the baby and loses it to an invasion in the first book and there's a different plotline that involves Chani and a baby in the next book that would have to be completely reworked if that were the case

Ah okay I gotcha, I’m only on chapter 5 of the book
Classic 10/10 Kino.
The “send them to paradise” line was crazy.
Iconic line already
were people at y’all’s theaters laughing at any parts? Stilgar was surprisingly kind of funny in this
Yeah he was too funny
I also laughed myself quietly one time where Christopher Walken pulled a classic Walken
Never read any of the books so I’m not sure whether to be on Paul’s side or if he is turning evil

I need all the future telling hoes dead
And ain’t he supposed to be prophesied so they should all be rocking out with him and all this s*** is in his benefit

I didn’t get why she was pissed tbh

Even if he turns evil, I’m with him.

So she was always against the prophecy and him going along with it combined with the huge power grab
It seemed like he was less committed to the Fremen than he was avenging his father

I can see that. But I also don’t see any other way they would have beat everyone.
