    Man I can’t wait until this movie drops in 4K. Those high quality video clips are gonna HIT

    Like, I need it immediately. I’m gonna get so sick of this movie from just playing it nonstop.

    That crash scene…

    Feyd’s intro the the arena… I NEED to hear whatever they announce again before screaming his name, and the doors open, and Hans’ score takes over

    And for some reason… the very subtle scene of Gurney saying “You know what I mean…” as they get the atomics. Something about that melts me.

    Fourth showing, the same 70mm non IMAX I posted a couple weeks ago. Probably be my last showing in theaters unless my parents want me to see with them when I travel down.

    (Not like farming lol)

    Finally saw this last night in imax but forgot anout thread

    Honestly there were a few scenes that were truly denis magic but overall i felt like part one is still better

    All i kept hearing about this movie was the action and the fight scenes but all the fight scenes were short af. That final battle between paul and feyd was laughable. Can't believe people were saying Butler gave a ledger joker like performance man that s*** was mid af.

    Maybe i need a rewatch but idk i feel like the third act was so rushed it seemed like the focus should have been more on third act then the first act and half of the second act. No one really gave a crazy performance except for maybe Rebecca Ferguson

    One thing I’m kind of curious about that I haven’t seen many people bring up is Chani’s blue headband

    I’m assuming the blue comes from worm blood, and she bled it into the band. I find it strange that in a movie where the production and costume design is devoid of any vibrant colors, it’s interesting having one burst of color stand out among the rest of the film’s visual identity and have it be so miniscule.

    was at the lakers game tonight and i see a giant ad for hans zimmer live and just started thinking about this movie and its soundtrack

    watching dune part 2 as a movie is still surreal

    honestly the book starts off so slow (as frank indented btw) it was always the end that made me go wtf so i’m not surprised i’m liking the film so much

    i’ve noticed some things that remind me of the star wars prequels that i don’t remember from the book but ive only read it twice so maybe they’re in there

    the way paul sees chani dead in his arms reminds me of anakin denis just does it in a much more subtle way

    also the way lady jessica tells the fetus that the holy war begins at the end of the movie reminds me of yoda at the end of attack of the clones

    anyways i'm probably just looking for parallels between the two space fantasy franchises

    i just think it’s interesting how star wars was inspired by dune but these movies might pull back from star wars it’s like a web of influence

    In the book I'm pretty sure it's a sign of grief for her dad (Liet Kynes)

    I was agreeing with you that Butler can't be compared to Ledger

    Obviously Butler is way leagues above the Dark Knight performance. Butler going to higher places with his career after Dune 2\.
