Roy album exec prod by drake was posed to be released in August and officially pushed back a week to never being released

They broke out from the Toronto/OVO moody R&B sound and were hyped because of the mystery of their identity after being played on OVO SR. Their affiliation with Drake is what blew them up and not sure they would have gotten the eyes and ears on them without him/OVO.

I gotta disagree. Just like giveon blew up after the drake record. After those 4 dvsn singles that were buzzing from their first album if they signed to any other label and got decent promotion they would be in the same boat if not bigger

No one hear knows the contract details.
As far as I understand it, it is more like a sponsorship. Each artist is allowed complete creative freedom and they get access to certain things they need (studiotime, equipment).
