beyond everything else, drake dropping on the same day as them is s***ty luck. There hasn't been a major release in awhile. Drake should have told them weeks ago that he was in the lab with 21 and thinking about dropping in October.

Assuming Drake and 21 have been working on this project for weeks/months, Drake could have given them the date they were targeting for release or at least a range of dates like late october/early november/etc. I'm not sure why that's so unreasonable, he might have done it for all we know.. But if he didn't, DVSN is entitled to feel some type of way.

Terrible optics that two OVO acts are dropping on the same day when no OVO act has released a project in months.

I don’t see a problem with this and Drake dropping at the same time… Her Loss is almost certainly gonna be a majority rap album

They aren’t competing for the same fans and OVO fans can just listen to both

This is officially their shortest album wow for some reason I feel like a lot of things didn’t work out last minute and dvsn were like “fuck it let’s just drop it” they said multiple times this album was post to have multiple legendary feats.

The track list is out and it’s only 42 mins long even shorter than their 10 track debut. In January they were hyping it like crazy saying they’re bringing R&B legends back for this one. Ushers name was mentioned many times. Also in the mal interview they specifically stated they were waiting on some features to put on the album

this a fair take. Kinda why speculating is silly bc we dont know if they were told and said “fuck it we move” anyway. I do find it weird tho, cant lie. Bc if nobody else knew Drake’s hand, the one person who did know weeks in advance is Mr Morgan
