In September I got my ears pierced and purchased some crazy diamond earrings but couldn’t use them until my ears healed. So I was told to wait 6-8 weeks before switching the basic earrings to the diamond ones. Then in November, my right earring started coming out and I had to keep pushing it back in through my ear lobe until eventually, I couldn’t get it in anymore.

So for the last few weeks, my earring has been halfway in my ear and today I was told by the piercing place that it’s embedded into my ear and requires surgery. So they are going to have to cut my ear, locate the earring, and re-pierce it. Plus if I wait any longer I risk it becoming extremely infected

They also said if that it’s quite painful but they can numb my ear up to 80%. Has anyone else dealt with an embedded earring ?

Don’t let this discourage you. Just make sure you keep them cleaned and use saline wash to keep them disinfected.

One of my earrings started going in my ear cuz it was swollen, I kept using a saline solution to wash it and then put it back in every day and I was good

I messed w one of my ear piercings (it was closer to the top of the ear) when it was new and the area around it swelled to the point of swallowing the back barbell. Had to visit the piercer to have him pop it out and replace w a longer bar. S***s all good now tho

A needle I think but the piercings are so small he just shoved it through. Like the employees at Claire’s and the doctor’s office said the earrings were extremely small

Nah, s*** hurt like a MF. But was relieving at the end. I think the difference between my situation and yours is that I visited the piercer to fix things the same week it occurred
