It's been a year of by and large very straightforward verses from woods and ELUCID. Dense no doubt, masterful as ever, but pretty grounded nonetheless.

Compared to their output last year it's night and day in terms of accessibility.

If their verses are going over your head or coming off as mumbo jumbo then it's more a critique on your own ability to actively listen and engage with the writing.

sounds like a Haram session for sure. wonder what sound the album will fall closer towards, this or 2010.

I liked the new song but not as much as 2010. 2010 was such a smooth listen with him riding the beat perfectly.

This new one sounds more his SRS stuff which is fine but I was hoping he’d move more away from that stuff for this album.

None of the old songs are gonna be on this one, head heavy will most likely be on "the people can fly"

if the new tape is Sick, what is "the people can fly"

Agree—this is the most accessible they’ve ever been, to the music’s benefit, imo

However you really can’t blame listeners for letting Mobutu Sese Seko references to go over their heads

For first timers, listening to Armand Hammer is a f***ing challenge

Yes I do. If you read between the lines of the press release,it seems as if he’s saying that sick makes more sense to drop now because it’s his immediate response to the pandemic and that the album he was working on before all this will drop in future

I really bope Earl gets back to the casual listenable rap because the samples and chaotic sound of s*** like his previous projects after Doris and IDLSIDGO are grating asf.

2010 is a good direction for him, still spitting bars but easy on the ears lol
