This pairs very well w srs

So far im feeling strong 7 from first listen but I can feel myself reaching “satisfaction” from this current sound he been on since 2018

Personally I’d like if the next album had more maximalist elements production and mixing wise

Like even going back idls he hasn’t really dropped anything sonically as “full” or “textured” as a song like Grief or Grown Ups

Kinda disappointing after 3+ years without a full album but it's pretty good. Definitely not as cohesive or emotional as SRS. I can f*** with individual tracks from this though.

What do you mean full album? Feet of clay is only 4 minutes shorter than SRS and this. Niggas really need to get acclimated with the fact that he’s never going to drop long albums.

And Earl doesn’t seem like a nigga whose always in album mode

Like I think a lot of artist instantly go back to making a new album after their new one drops, but not every artist is like that. Some artist only move when inspired, Earl is definitely that so it makes sense having to wait a few years

Niggas need to get used to that w him, Frank too

    Doris was 44 minutes...

But my point was less the length of the project than the content. IDLSIDGO and SRS felt like developments in his career, they had fresh sounds for him that signaled new eras, they were thematically tight and complete even though they were short. Feet of Clay isn't comparable to that at all.

    Generally good first listen.

However, whereas SRS felt like a complete experience with a clear beginning - middle - end, this just feels like its over way too soon. SRS was exhausting in the best way and by the end you've been on this whole journey. Here i'm just left wanting more in the most unsatisfying way.

Also, Titanic after God Laughs just did not work for me at all. Needed something like 'Homebound' in its place. And of the trap tracks I didnt really care much for Titanic nor Sick! , enjoyed Vision though.

But yeah just left wondering why stuff like 'Uneasy Steps' etc couldnt have made the album. A lot of those unreleased joints would have meshed perfectly fine imo and given a more full-feeling listen.

Bro you need to let go of those tracks. If they drop they drop, if they don’t they don’t. Also he said he lost the laptop so most of that stuff is gone. I do agree that uneasy steps would have been a good addition to this cause he does say “deep in it like needle in flesh”, that fits the theme

Impossible to try and rank the songs everything is just pure quality. Earl cut every single inch of fat on this

    Earl anti vax?

Curious as to why an artist’s stance on vaccination makes a fan mad tbh it’s not like Earl or Freddie are doctors or people whose opinion on vaccination should be of interest to you lol

It didn’t make me mad. I just know other people are gonna misinterpret it as him being anti vax when really he’s probably talking about heroine. There’s also heroine bars on SRS btw

its good but I dont see it getting that classic srs status. this the one that actually feels like 'some rap songs'. need more time with this

    that outro is great though
