I Don't Like S*** I Don't Go Outside will always be the man's masterpiece to me. Some Rap Songs is a close second but it's a second. IDLSIDGO was a f***ing STATEMENT.
Grief is like its own musical vortex that like takes you to some other world entirely where time isn't a thing and there's still a whole ass 6 songs after that s*** ends. Grown Ups is also so underrated

SRS is more consistent but IDLSIDGO’s highs will never be topped i dont think
No one ever talks about how insane Inside is one of my favorite earl tracks personally
I really miss his hazy synth-driven aesthetic. It suit him so well but the older i get i understand why he veered away from it

Inside was absolutely my favorite song on first listen through and I ran that s*** like 1000 times in 2015. Over time though I have to give the honor to Grief. That song is just…I can’t even describe it anymore. Like it just completely f***s me up anytime I listen to the album in its entirety, I ALWAYS run that s*** back twice before moving onto Off Top

real for Grown Ups shoutout, always been one of my favs. Also can't believe no one ever talks about Inside tbh.
IDLS def special just for the completely unique production. Kinda hope after the Alc album he goes back to making an entirely self-produced album too (Peggy or Navy collab tape would also be hard tho).
Imo w SRS and FOC his lyricism and overall artistry reached another level of maturity which made him go from a favorite to maybe my favorite artist in hip-hop period. Just made me respect what he was doing all along even more (despite already being highkey stan ever since hype leading up to Doris)
I think you can make a fair case for any of Doris, IDLS, SRS, Solace, FOC or even Sick being his best work tbh, all of them perfected something different

lmao, I think he isn't actually saying Sweatshirt tho but something like "Switcher"

Earl gives his thoughts on Kendrick Lamar’s new album
What does this meme mean?
album should have received more buzz
(I personally liked the album but) it's way too short, doesn't really have much of a concept (aside from that whole "people were sick!" press run soundbite) and is kind of all over the place sonically. I can absolutely see why it isn't getting much buzz. the "sample plate" approach to making an album (where you have songs like Titanic and songs like Tabula Rasa on the same LP) really requires the album to be longer than 10 songs/24 minutes for it to be fully satisfying tbh

Its just a reaction image that conveys the emotion of disappointment/disgust. Earl has been pretty actively s***posting on his twitter lately sonI would't look into it too much lol

I wouldn't say he didn't deliver but he definitely didn't have any good anchor tracks on here. Titanic was fire and I would take a whole album of that. Tabula Rasa is absolute bars on bars but lets be real I'm not bumping that on the reg.
