he personally brought attention to Mike, Mavi and Mach, to me he's more or less at the center of everything tight happening in rap rn tbh. That just being a contributing thing of course tho, just generally after SRS and FOC and all those loosies and features since he's more than earned this title for me at this point, his writing and delivery is on another level to me tbh

Been a fan since the mixtape and Doris was one of the most important albums of my teenage years but I honestly never expected the kind of artistic growth he's made ever since SRS. Next few projects bout to be insane too

I respect that b. His verse on Mirage is one of my favorite verses ever probably.

    Yeah it’s crazy how he’a the beacon between sLUms, Mach/Fahim, Ka/Roc, Alchemist/Boldy and woods/Elucid.

I really hope his next album reflects his genius and potential

Doris was amazing progression from Earl and IDLS from Doris, and SRS was obviously a breakthrough... Not sure we'll get another big change like that soon tho tbh. Given he has like 2 projects worth of unreleased s*** in this vein still I think we'll get some more different shades of what he's been doing with SRS and FOC with the next 2 drops or so.

Def hope we'll get an album next tho and hopefully soon

The songmaking & sequencing is kinda lackluster so I don’t think it works as well as srs fr that reason but if we’re talking bars yea

Marshall also confirmed rumors he produced Earl Sweatshirt’s “Death Whistles” under his Edgar the Beatmaker alias. “Earl lived in my house in London for four weeks,” Marshall says. When they made “Death Whistles,” he adds, “It was probably like 5 in the morning. And we made this beat, which basically came out of the fact that he was like, ‘This beat’s trash.’ And he slowed it down, super. And he was like, ‘This is some good s***.’ laughs I was like, ‘Aight.’”
