I know I'm gonna sound like a hater for this, but imma be honest, I can't wait for this trend of people acting like Alchemist is the only hip-hop producer from the 2000s who exists to end.

Havent heard that one but people gotta chill on his crate digging, he a Beverly Hills boi who can buy the artist

  • And it ain't even to knock Al or anything but damn niggas gotta mix it up. EVERYBODY gotta have an Alchemist album/EP now!?

9th Wonder still exists and making music. DJ Premier (Yes I know technically 80s bear with me), Just Blaze, Madlib, Mannie Fresh, Lex Luger...ion know man I just find it weird that niggas are acting like Alchemist is the only producer worth making an album with lately

You'd probably be seeing them more active if niggas would actually....go to them for beats? DJ Premier is still active and is finally working on that album with Nas. Timbaland still making beats and frequently has streams of him working on beats or reviewing other people's beats. I'm 100% positive Mannie Fresh will work with any artist who hits him up and wants to work.

Deadass the fact we have yet to see a Brent Faiyaz or Smino and Timbaland collab for example is insane. No Earl and Madlib? What? None of these rap dudes have tried linking up with Just Blaze? I'm shocked we haven't gotten Denzel Curry and Lex Luger. I'd love to hear Mick Jenkins and 9th Wonder.

Because Al jumped to work with underground artists, The rest don’t do that

You think if Timbo hit up Curren$y or Boldy and said let’s do a project they'd turn him down? lol

There’s plenty of underground artists that would kill for a shot to work with all the producers you just named, Its on them

Oh I’m definitely with you. Making beats is one thing, fully producing albums is something none of those producers are doing nor willing to do.

Madlib has produced a lot albums over the years but the only ones that gained traction are the Gibbs projects.

9th Wonder is amazing, but doesn’t have the ear for talent. Look at all the NC artists he tried to put on over the last 20 years; Rapsody and Little Brother were the only ones to make it.

Manny is obvious, his sound only works in one region.

Does Timbaland work even with non-superstar artists?

Mannie has an album coming out with The Cool Kids and A-Trak.

it's not a Tim beat (but it's damn near a good impression, this was my fav song from this tape) but they have worked together.

and Smino and Tim have collabed on Nsync. For some weird reason (trademark self-sminotage) he just decided not to use this version of it on that maybe in nirvana

Lex Luger was dealing with alot of mental health and d*** issues for years. I think through all of that he unfortunately just got kinda swept to the side.

To answer your Just Blaze and honestly all these niggas questions, is most likely the fact they probably got a hefty price that niggas just can't afford.
