I hope it actually is called black radical. That's a great f***ing title and it would be cool if he's going to discuss his shift towards radical politics that we've seen over the past few years. Political Earl would be interesting

I could see it creating unnecessary backlash though, like, from the many songs he already performed his lyrics seem still way more grounded in the personal/introspective rather than political/activist, and people would def be like "he isn't a real radical though" etc. Could end up a pretty tiring and distracting discourse

That wasnt from a reddit person. It was from a rapper who was in the studio with Earl. Incidentally that rapper dm'd me when I posted the video on twitter asking me to take it down.

You and I both know earl doesnt do what he does for mass popularity or acceptance. Plus it's possible those songs won't even be on the album as hes proven time and time again

nah y'all get me wrong. I'm not saying I'm afraid of haters, I'm saying ppl would hate and they probably wouldn't be entirely in the wrong.

I don't see him straying that far from the songs we've heard previews of, judging from all his recent features etc... (and also because it's just way too much and way too quality material to just be throwaways)

Dude..he's performed quality songs in the past that still to this day have not seen the light of day. The man does whatever he wants lol. I get what youre saying if u mean that his WHITE fans would hate but that doesnt mean they're not in the wrong

a much better argument can be made that his aesthetics are Black radical, his writing and production... but just generally, I think it would be out of character to self-praise or self-proclaim like that. Like even if it fits the album I'll just press X for Doubt on this one
