Shoutout the West Coast legends for delivering more anthems in this decade

  • St. Louis in the early 2000s was a blast.

I've been saying thid but, even at 480p,its obvious that videos were shot in a much higher quality then now. The way colors just pop and these videos look is just a cut above this digital stuff now.

Word, honestly when you look at music videos from the 2000s.

The fact they pulled off such unique camera angles with the classic Academy Ratio (4:3) gave it such a distinct feel.

Nowadays, S*** just don't feel the same, it feels bland

You get it. It’s indicative of the purity of the genre then.

Wanna say aloy alot(if not most)of these videos were shot on film and then downgraded to tape. Thats the thing ive been saying i believe if you can find the master source to alot of these older videos, you could probably actually blow them up on a theater sized screen.

I don't think you can get many videos from today and do that without the video becoming a smeared mess. S*** now is post-processed,too digital and cheaply done.

Honestly for someone to pull off that 2000s music video look, they probably have to do heavy heavy research for exact cameras and equipment used to make those classic videos.

Honestly, "Beautiful" has to be one of the most beautiful created hip-hop videos ever, even tho it's pretty simple.

I think its crazy bro,i think all the video directors back then were legit into film and art and understood how to craft visuals. And budgets,i dont think they skimped on the cameras, lighting, settings back then. Wish we could get more insight on this stuff cause its so obvious that the quality of music videos have gone down significantly.
