They were having so much fun with it the vibes were infectious. I feel like the industry is going back towards fun music slowly but surely

Lmao I meant to post this got them mixed up for some reason. TI demolishes this verse.
Touch the Sky fits in here
As well as Gold Digger and Kanye’s Workout Plan
compare those classics to a track like this
!https://youtu.be/m8MSCY83xcsthe crossovers have just lost their soul, bounce and tastefulness
Today’s rap and hip hop scenes are two intertwined to the point where crossover’s lost their appeal
I need a girl part 2 is one of the greatest song ever made
so good one of Puffs best performances
"Make it dark" and the end of putting female R&B singers on hooks led to the demise of this type of fun music imo
god damn this track is so timeless 3k
Hip Hop has produced tons of great projects after this decade no doubt. I could create an encyclopedia of amazing projects from the 10's and 20's.
But hip hop in the 2000's just was way better for clubs, functions, cookouts, etc.
Hell, in my 4th of July barbecue with the fam, my uncle who was the DJ played nothing but 2000's classics like I Just Wanna Love You, Hey Ya, Gold Digger, Always On Time, Hot N Herre, Lean Back, Walk It Out(Remix with Kast), etc.
And all my young/Zoomer cousins including those as young as 10 years old were rocking with it heavy.
Hip hop started to slowly cater to Social Media/IG and Fantano/Blogger types over the years and that element has started to fade away even though hip hop is basically the same quality as back then when you go beyond the mainstream.
