To start off, I love the whole breaking bad universe . The writing and characters are 2nd to nothing, but I cant help feel that the spin off movie was a complete disappointment. Iv only seen it once and haven't had any desire to revisit since. I dunno if it's both jessy and his "capture" weight gain or Walter's over the top fake bald cap that ruin for me but I just dont think the story was needed. It would of been better if they would of brought a feature length movie once they wrap up better call saul so that we can have an anticipation for seeing more of the continuing story. I would of preferred to see the after effects of skyler and walt jr picking up the pieces after the events of walts demise. I think that would of been more interesting esp if jessy was involved somehow and finally finding a place of acceptance in to the white household.
yeah movie was real booty unfortunately, been thinking about it a lot after the stellar fifth season of BCS
El Camino really just feels uninspired, like they're running on empty and are just throwing it together to appease those BB fans who aren't into BCS
like the opening scene literally just sets up the ending - "you should go to Alaska." spoilers, he ends the movie... getting to Alaska. wow, exciting stuff I guess...
plus the massive over-reliance on all these new tacked on flashbacks to try and create a story for the movie to use as a framework really starts to drag.
personally I was really hoping it was gonna be a movie set some time after BB with Jesse living a new life, and encountering some new kind of challenge/old demons catching up to him or something... instead we just have a wholeass 2 hour movie made like 6 years later where they're trying to pretend it's literally the day after BB, just feels super forced to me
i enjoyed it but i dont really know what it added to the series i feel like we ended up in exactly the same place that breaking bad finished

Motherfucking word!!! Totally fell flat the moment it started.
OP with the facts. Also, why did they let Jesse Plemons come back looking fat as s***?
Like the poster above said, it would’ve been better to set it years after the original plot. The fact it’s set directly after and Jesse Plemon’s character all of a sudden looks huge is so odd
I don’t know what you wanted because i thought of it as a powerful movie about overcoming trauma and not letting your past impact your future.
It had great cinematography, the breaking bad humor and dramatic tone that always felt aligned with the entire BB show and it really felt like a interpersonal western movie
The worst aspect of the movie is Todd’s gut and age really taking me out of the world for a good bit.
Not for everyone but a great wrap up for a character that had a undefined ending
I felt like Jesse earned this ending
it’s mid
I loved it honestly. It felt like a long BB episode which to me was cool
It was great and we got closure to Jessies story.
Cried like a baby at the end
Great movie felt like e 2hr bb episode.

i thought it was cool just cuz i love jesse and wanted to see him again
Also this jesse really the goat
LOL what?
The kind of person that eats a sandwich by removing the ham and cheese
I don’t feel it was necessary, but I liked it when I watched it. Never revisited though.
Someone else said it felt like one long breaking bad episode and I’d agree with that. I enjoyed it but the ending just felt really anticlimactic imo, like when the credits came up I was kinda expecting something more. Still overall a good send off for Jesse.
The scene of him confronting that fake agent and his buddies when they were in the middle of sniffing coke lines with some strippers was awesome
I see a lot of people saying “it’s so good to finally get closure on Jesse’s story” but why do we as an audience always need closure?
Audiences get pissed that some directors treat them as “stupid” but then turn around and get angry when we get endings like The Sopranos or something vague
I thought it looked gorgeous & the directing was spot on but this was clearly just fan service & a ploy to give him a happy ending
