I see a lot of people saying “it’s so good to finally get closure on Jesse’s story” but why do we as an audience always need closure?
Audiences get pissed that some directors treat them as “stupid” but then turn around and get angry when we get endings like The Sopranos or something vague
I thought it looked gorgeous & the directing was spot on but this was clearly just fan service & a ploy to give him a happy ending
No, i don’t always need closure
but it’s nice to have it for characters that i feel have an engaging story left to tell
I would have been happy either way with or without this movie but i enjoyed my experience with the movie even with it’s faults.
Now that I’m thinking about it, there were really a lot of great scenes. When Jesse was searching for Todd’s money stash and had to go room to room hiding from those other guys who were also looking for it, most stressful s*** ever
Might rewatch this soon
seeing how they treated jesse added so much to Felina too
like u see some things in the show but to see how they actually treated him

When Todd is psychologically manipulating Jesse to put down the gun and he’ll get pizza
Walt and Jesse’s conversation.
You didn’t have to wait your whole life to do something so special.

I felt like this was a story i wanted told.
I didn’t need some story way off in the future where Jesse gets into further trouble.
That’s not a conclusive story lol

At the end of Felina there was still a bunch of speculation as to whether he would get caught, I felt like Jesse has been through enough s*** during the series that he deserved this
It was dope but BCS >>>>>>
I mean you’re comparing a tv show with a movie but yes you’re 100 percent right
The conversation with mike >>>>>>
Skinny Pete being a real one
Badger too
The conversation with Jane
The letter to Brock
You made your luck, as did your partner, as did your lawyer

Also idk if you've seen the behind the scenes of that scene.
The cinematography on that scene is some goat s***
To start off, I love the whole breaking bad universe . The writing and characters are 2nd to nothing, but I cant help feel that the spin off movie was a complete disappointment. Iv only seen it once and haven't had any desire to revisit since. I dunno if it's both jessy and his "capture" weight gain or Walter's over the top fake bald cap that ruin for me but I just dont think the story was needed. It would of been better if they would of brought a feature length movie once they wrap up better call saul so that we can have an anticipation for seeing more of the continuing story. I would of preferred to see the after effects of skyler and walt jr picking up the pieces after the events of walts demise. I think that would of been more interesting esp if jessy was involved somehow and finally finding a place of acceptance in to the white household.
Just now reading what you would have preferred and god that sounds awful.
Thank god you weren’t in charge lol
It was mostly just fan service, i liked it but theres no rewatch value at all. Still was better than getting nothing at all

Just peeped, that’s dope
Vince gilligan’s really a god with this s***, if he wasn’t involved with the movie I might not have even watched it tbh

I mean we all knew he got away years after the show ended. This was literally some dlc fan fiction movie that you really can't complain about getting lol
it was just kinda mid tbh, just like season 4 and 5 of BCS
last three episodes showed that vince still got it tho
