Who in here said we had to name 10 classic episodes ? I don’t recall anyone asking me to do that
Whole show is a classic
better call saul season 5 finale > ozymandias
might have to finally binge
but its like if you know you know
the wire is a slow burn compared to BB, its not as action filled with explosions and blown out of proportions type plots, its actually real and true to life i guess.
ofc breaking bad gets all the shine with its overblown action scenarios but u gotta look what came before it and paved the way is all
BB certainly got some stellar moments but its def quite overrated as well
did u even watch the wire more than once?
Guess that speaks volumes to the comparison of both show’s appeal.
Nothing compelled me to watch it more then once until this quarantine where i realized i wanted to go over tons of classic shows that i hadn’t watched or had finished a long time ago that i never felt like i wanted to revisit
I’m going over Mad Men and The Sopranos right now and the Wire is right afterward.
might have to finally binge
He’s wrong on that point but the whole show as a whole is better then BB
Give it a watch

so u never actually watched it
Did you want me to list ten classic episodes because i can do it
Sorry i can’t read the minds of posters on the internet lol

It’s been 6 years since i watched it

a show that never ages
its almost education everybody should watch it at least once in their life but also truly understand it is whats important.
bro I didn't ask u to list anything lmao
bruh i listed on my own accord and now you’re complaining I didn’t list ten episodes lol so what is it you want? lmao
Movie was great as a simple The Fugitive style escape story. It was tense and had Jesse working out of some really fun spots. People wanted something more involved with the show and that expanded on it. I didn't. I liked it a lot.

I’ve already seen it before and i’m doing my rewatch soon.
I don’t know why you feel the need to try to sell me the show, lmfao

I want you to learn English so you don't read s*** out of context.
Saying a one BB episode is better than a series just shows reluctantly biased you are to your own opinions so I'm just wasting time here. 8 out of 62 episodes or even 10 don't make a great show if you can't understand that idk what to tell you
Also brought up the real reason why BB isn't better but you rushed to the points that make this some sort of war of words

Yeah i am bias i’d say that exact same thing for most shows with any other episodes of my favorite shows of all time.
I’m taking all of the experiences i’ve had with the show and putting them all into one really great episode and being a d***head by saying it’s better then an entire series
I would say that same exact thing for an episode like the view from halfway down >>>>>> BB
You stated that BB doesn’t have the same dynamic edge as The Wire but that’s clearly not the case.
This discussion serves no purpose other then to bicker about great television lol so i’m dropping it now
I enjoyed it
In the last pages of the script for Felina, Gilligan wrote something like “Jesse drives away screaming. It’s up to us to say where he’s headed. I like to say it’s towards something better and leave it at that.”
this movie is just a 2 and a half hour way of saying that. Is it largely unnecessary? Absolutely. However. Was it great to be back in this world, where everything is shot, written and acted incredibly, getting to see a definitive and concrete end to one of our favorite characters and have him overcome one last struggle and blow some s*** up, Breaking Bad style in the process?
F*** yes.
not a disappointment
I don’t know what you wanted because i thought of it as a powerful movie about overcoming trauma and not letting your past impact your future.
It had great cinematography, the breaking bad humor and dramatic tone that always felt aligned with the entire BB show and it really felt like a interpersonal western movie
The worst aspect of the movie is Todd’s gut and age really taking me out of the world for a good bit.
Not for everyone but a great wrap up for a character that had a undefined ending
I felt like Jesse earned this ending
